Southern Riverkeepers
Overview
Riverkeepers are organizations or individuals who dedicate their work to the health, safety, and maintenance of a specific waterway. Some of the responsibilities Riverkeepers hold is to monitor, educate, and/or enforce regulations. Riverkeepers are very important in a regenerative system and help steward the health of water systems as well as maintain relationships with the human and nonhuman beings that interact with the waterway, river, or steam. The following is a list of organizations that do work to conserve, restore, maintain, and protect variable rivers that go through the South Willamette Valley. While not all these organizations use the title Riverkeeper, they may hold responsibilities and do work that can fall under a Riverkeeper role.
